Three Important Notices from Penn Waste!
Due to the snow event Sunday into Monday, Penn Waste is on a holiday schedule this week. All trash and recycling will be picked up one day late. The Chritmas tree pick up that was scheduled for this past saturday has been changed to Saturday, January 29th as well as If you received the 96 gallon trash toter and do not wish to use it and have previously scheduled with Penn Waste to have it removed, that has also been change to a January 29th pick up date.. Our new Yard Waste facility located @ 285 Spangler's Mill Road will open to the public starting Tuesday, Feb 1st.
You can drop off Yard Waste and Electronics Recycling as well as pick up mulch. The Fall/Winter hours are still as follows: M-F from 9am-noon and the 1st & 3rd Saturday from 9am-noon. The current location @ 55 Fairview Road will close as of Monday, January 31st.
If you find a spotted lanternfly or a suspicious looking egg mass in a municipality where it is not known to exist, you should try to collect it and put it into a vial filled with alcohol to kill and preserve it, or at least take a good picture of it.
