PUBLIC NOTICE FROM PENN WASTE: Effective Monday, 3/30/20, All Residential Collections will operate as follows: We will be enforcing the following collection mandates in an effort to protect our frontline team members and as a result of having a limited workforce during this COVID-19 pandemic:
- All trash must be bagged and tied. Loose items will be not be collected.
- All recyclable materials must be placed inside your recycling container(s), including your flattened cardboard. Recyclable items left outside of your recycling container will not be collected.

We are doing this so we can continue to focus all our efforts and personnel on trash and recycle collection. The collection of trash is our top priority as improperly managed waste can create conditions that may have severe adverse effects on public health, safety and the environment. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during this unprecedented crisis.

THE FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR PUBLIC ENTRY UNTIL THE END OF MARCH
As part of the national effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), effective immediately the Board of Supervisors of Fairview Township have elected to close the Township Municipal Office, Public Works and Yard Waste/Electronics Recycle Center until further notice. (Per the Governors Orders). The situation will be monitored and the closure may be extended as necessary.
Township employees will report to work as usual. All business with the Township will be handled via email, telephone, mail and the website www.twp.fairview.pa.us. Any business that MUST be conducted in person shall be done by appointment only. Please call (717) 901-5200 to set up an appointment. The Township maintains a drop-off box in front of the Municipal Office for payments, permit applications, etc.
The Board of Supervisors meeting and all other Board and Commission meetings for the month have been cancelled.
The Township’s primary duty is to protect the health and welfare of its residents. We apologize for any inconvenience, but this is an unusual situation that requires strong measures.

TOWNSHIP EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION'S
Fairview Township encourages all residents and businesses(if you have not already done so) to enroll in the Township's Emergency Notification system. The system is only used for notification of neighborhood-level public safety and community information(i.e. snowstorms, road closures, etc.)
To be alerted of these events, you register, using one of the 2 methods outlined below:
- Using the Township's WEB SITE, click on the Alerts icon located on the upper right side of the Township's home page and fill in the information requested.
