FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
June 6, 2013 – 2:00 p.m.
MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Brown, at 2:06 p.m.
II. ROLL CALL

III. ANNOUNCEMENT OF EXECUTIVE SESSIONS:
Mr. Brown advised that prior to this meeting an Executive Session was held to discuss the Police contract; payroll adjustments; and pending litigation, York County Docket 2013-SU-552-44, Fairview Township vs. Bernard G. Dugan and Karen Dugan
IV. RECOGNITION OF PUBLIC:
There was no public present.
V. AGENDA ITEMS:
1. Pending Litigation, York County 2013-SU-552-44, Fairview Township vs. Bernard G. Dugan and Karen Dugan:
Mr. Stanley made a motion, seconded by Mr. Allen, authorizing the Manager to sign a letter to the defendants advising that Township funded health insurance coverage will cease effective July 1, 2013.
Vote on the motion: All yes. The motion carried.
2. Police Contract:
Mr. Smith advised that Mr. Martin will notify the police officers that retroactive salary adjustments will be paid next week, with separate deposits for 2012 and 2013.
3. Payroll Adjustments:
Mr. Pirritano made a motion, seconded by Mr. Allen, to authorize payment of all salary adjustments for uniform and non-uniform employees with separate deposits for 2012 and 2013.
Vote on the motion: All yes. The motion carried.
VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1. DDSP:
Mr. Smith advised that DDSP will now be bringing their leaves to the Recycling Center for disposal.

2. Cable Franchise Review:
Mr. Smith advised the Board that the attorney representing the CAPCOG members is conducting an audit to verify that the correct revenue is being submitted to member municipalities. At this time Verizon has declined to provide any information.
3. Attendance at Scoping Meeting, 83 Acre Tract:
Mr. Smith reported that he attended a meeting at PennDOT for review of a preliminary plan submitted by Alpha Engineering for a one million square foot distribution center located on the 83 acre tract adjacent to Lewisberry Road, I-83 and the Turnpike. One main issue is the in and out traffic and the installation of a traffic signal on Lewisberry Road.
VII. ANNOUNCE EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Mr. Brown advised that there will be an Executive Session following this meeting.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 2:26 p.m.
