Penn Waste News & Alert Sign-Up

Penn Waste (Fairview Township's contracted Refuse/Recycling hauler) has just launched it's mobile website! The mobile page allows for functionality on Apple and Android products, so be sure to take some time to explore the different sections of their mobile site. New Trash and Sewer Rates

Trash and sewer rates have changed effective April 1, 2014.

  • Trash rate is $53.00 per quarter.
  • Sewer rates is $183.00 per quarter.
  • Chesapeake Bay is $9.00 per quarter.

Electronic Recycling/Yard Waste Facility Hours

Electronic Recycling/Yard Waste Facility, 55 Fairview Road, New Cumberland, PA 17070. Hours: Monday-Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm

There is plenty of Leaf Compost and Untreated Mulch available for pick-up during the above hours. Compost and Mulch is first come, first serve. Residents are responsible for loading and transporting of all Compost and Mulch. 

Must show proof of Fairview Township residency for Mulch or Compost pick-up. (Example-Drivers License, Utility Bill)

Electronic Recycling is provided for all York County, PA residents. 

Curbside Pick-Up to Resume

Beginning Saturday, April 5, 2014 Fairview Township's curbside yard waste pick-up will resume. Curbside collections will be the first Saturday of every month through November. Due to holiday schedules, July's pick-up will be Saturday, July 12th and September's pick-up will be Saturday, September 13th.

At this time all the yellow yard waste containers have been distributed. If you need a receptacle please purchase a 32-gallon container and mark Yard Waste on the container. There is no limit to the amount of containers you place out for curbside pick-up as long as each container does not exceed the weight limit of 40 pounds.

Please be sure to have containers out by 6:00am.
